Haha, this is a typical practical ANSI

I rode a bicycle last week and witnessed a large tide in the Qiantang River, although this time it was not a particularly large one.
But it’s pretty close. The other brothers have fully described the riding process.
I will just write about the situation of the Qianjiang tide itself.
Time 2003.09.13 The 17th day of the eighth lunar month
Location: Hujiadou, Yanguan Town, Haining County, Zhejiang Province. See below. Within 3Km from the old salt warehouse.
The width of the Qiantang River is estimated to be about 3 to 4 Km.

12:45 Arrive at the seawall. The flow of the Qiantang River is from west to east.
13:35 I started to hear a faint thunderous sound.
13:45 Estimated tide time. The tide has not come, but the roar is already loud.
13:50 The tide reaches Hujiadou. The standing wave advances from east to west at a speed of more than 3 meters per second. Because
According to my estimation, the speed breakers may be used to reduce the speed of the tide. I named it randomly haha.
His presence stirred up large waves up to 5 meters high on the shore. They were gray and black and disgusting enough.
It's spectacular enough. The waves on the shore reflect in the form of transverse waves toward the center of the river, and form on top of the waves.
Something weird like a standing wave. The entire tide head looks like a half-moon when viewed from top to bottom, protruding toward the east.

13:55 The first wave has completely passed. There are almost no big waves in the river. Observe carefully. It turns out that
The Qiantang River that originally flowed from west to east has now reversed direction from east to west....ft....
The water level rose by 4 to 5 meters in the first minute. According to locals, it rises when the tide is strong.
It rose more than 6 meters and completely submerged the grassland on the second floor [see picture above]. Feel the force of nature.
The amount is terrible
14:00 Cycling along the embankment to the west, I saw the turning tide. The speed was very slow, about 1 meter per second from west to east.
The water is also slightly lower because the basic water level is already much higher than the first wave.
My guess is the reason for the return trend
After the tide reached the old salt warehouse, it encountered a large embankment blocking the road. I saw it with my own eyes.
So the reflection is then superimposed with the subsequent tide and the rising sea water.
Then turn to advance due east

p.s. According to locals, the daily tide time will be about an hour later than the previous day.
Qianjiang tide occurs twice a day, once at midnight and once at noon
