I just accidentally saw Buzhu’s newly added post
It is said that everyone is encouraged to express their creative ideas about the work.
I think this is very important
Sometimes it’s even more important than publishing a work
Because for the current asciiart
Techniques are still more important
Many techniques have not been systematically organized and summarized
Therefore, it may be difficult to understand just by letting the viewers think about it.
It is easier to let the original author talk about it, and it will be easier for people to understand more intuitively where the work has been done in the picture.
Of course everyone’s comments are also important
Sometimes some good comments may cause the author and everyone to have a new understanding of the work.
thereby improving everyone’s level
That’s enough gossip. Let’s start with a brief talk about my painting.
There are two reasons for painting this painting
First, because I am ansi lover
Second, because I am a badminton enthusiast
Therefore, I have always had the idea of drawing badminton-related paintings.
I have tried several before and none of them were ideal.
Because badminton is very dynamic
It is difficult to capture motion with ANSI
I happened to collect a lot of pictures of Lin Dan at one time
I just selected a few pictures to copy.
The common features of these photos are that they take medium and long shots and the movements are stretched to a large extent.
When using ANSI to express sports themes, I think it’s easier to draw when the movements are stretched out.
Because there will be less overlap of limbs this way
Overlap of limbs is quite complex to deal with
Of course, if some overlapping positions are appropriate, good results can be achieved.
I won’t go into details about these
After drawing several pictures and not being satisfied with it, I finally chose this one.
Because this one has its unique advantages
1 The direction of the calf
In this figure, one of the two lower legs is horizontal and the other is almost vertical.
This is rare for ansi Huitu
Because these two directions are the easiest to express and can easily generate arcs
Also, it’s not easy to overlap
2 The whole character can be placed on one screen
In fact, there are two slashing movements that are very suitable for drawing.
But the height of the screen is far beyond one screen
Therefore, it does not perform as well as this one
3 Character postures produce appropriate light and shadow
Use ANSI to draw because of the scarcity of colors
It is very difficult to express light and shadow
In this picture, because of the shading effect produced between various parts of the human body,
This prevents the image from being one color to the bottom and creating a certain three-dimensional effect.
Let me talk about my specific process of painting this picture.
I started drawing from the left foot
Lin Dan is wearing the SHB99 Su Cup limited edition in the picture.
These shoes are very bright in silver and red
But I finally gave up and changed the painting to the style of SHB98
Because 99ltd uses ANSI to draw it and it is easier to mix it up.
And it’s hard to control the color
In 98, black occupies a larger area, so it is easier to draw.
Black is a universal color in ANSI and can be matched with any color.
After drawing the shoes, pull out the length of the calf
Properly determine the muscle curvature from the knee position and then turn to the thigh
After the overall shape is figured out, make detailed adjustments
Bring out white highlights
At this time, the entire left leg is represented in yellow
Next jump your hips
Just draw the other foot
Because if you can't express the shoes in the horizontal direction,
I might delete this picture
So I drew it
It’s because the angle is more appropriate
Then still draw from the feet upwards
Then adjust the distance and position between the other leg
After finishing, outline the torso of the body
Hand performance is much easier
Because the movements are ready-made, I draw them bit by bit.
The grip is a little stuck.
Because the beat does not have a suitable color representation against the indigo background
So I simply changed both sides of the picture to black.
On the one hand, it brings out the beat
On the one hand, it eliminates the light and shadow of the lower part of the left foot.
I also spent a lot of time painting the head.
Mainly adjustments to angles and facial shadows
Finally gave up the collar and achieved the current goal
After processing the complete outline of the image, outline the light, shadow and details.
In fact, a lot of light and shadow have been added in the previous painting process.
Previously, we mainly considered the feasibility of the location.
The current step is to adjust the rationality of light and shadow
After some parts are appropriately exaggerated,
The pattern of the graph is basically formed
Finally, I felt that the light indigo background was a bit empty.
So I added a white line to compare the neutral position of the body.
The basic drawing process is like this
It should have been explained with pictures and text.
But I’m not happy about having to do typesetting or something.
Just typing
Everyone is tired, please take your time and watch
