也不能算fterm的bug吧，人家精简代码是好心，况且也没有精简错，也没有用上一行代码
而ae对于没有任何指定的字符当作*[1;37;40m

It can’t be considered a bug in fterm. The person who simplified the code had good intentions. Besides, there was nothing wrong with the simplification, and the previous line of code was not used.
And ae treats characters without any specification as *[1;37;40m
It is mentioned in SpiritRain’s masterpiece: Lose Weight and Go Home Again:

Everything is wrong. Is it that serious?
It's fine most of the time under the default low brightness. Occasionally there are some spaces at the end.
