BLOCKTRONICS1010 RELEASE INFORMATION TOP

It has only been 2 months since we released Blocktronics:WTF4. Brazillian slave owner Enzo has pushed all of our artists to their limits to put another pack together in a short amount of time and for this reason we hate him.

The biggest news from the past two months is that Blocktronics submitted around 15 ansis to the Pittsburgh Demo Party Demosplash. We took 1st through 15th place thanks to the fact that all of the amazing ANSi artists in the world outside of Blocktronics did not submit anything out of sheer terror. We have sort of made Demosplash our go to demo party because one of our members lives in the city of Pittsburgh and allows anyone in the world to crash at his house as long as you leave a donation for Space Camp. This year Demosplash was attended in person by Fever (TCF), Filth (FIL), Misfit (MT), and The Textmode Exorcist (TXT). We had a great time thanks to a lot of alcohol, other illegal reasons.

We recorded some video of our adventure in Pittsburgh. Thanks to a lot of hardwork by The Textmode Exorcist, aka Keith Aaron Von Nadolny, he has released a kind of a documentary with demo party information, the ansi screening, and random out takes.

If you're interested in meeting some of us we are planning a larger gather at Demosplash 2015 in Pittsburgh, it will most likely be the first Friday, Saturday, in October.

In other demo party news, Blocktronics artists DMan and mypalGOO represented the group at the Deadline 2014 demoparty in Berlin, Germany. DMans piece "Bender" which can be seen in this current 1010 art release took 2nd place. mypalGOOs "goo nightmare" also seen in this art pack placed 4th.

Blocktronics artists have come together on a new creative project known as ZOIA. ZOIA is a brand for our collective artists to release a variety of original merchandise. All proceeds, as minute as they are, go to the specific artist that create the work. Currently available are some t-shirts, coffee cups, toys, stickers, posters. So, you can see where this is going. Blocktronics is a collection of artists from all over the world. Instead of releasing art pieces individually via sites like Deviant Art we release periodic collaborative art packs. We are a close knit group that works to motivate and inspire each other. We are called Blocktronics because we specialize in a blocky old low resolution computer art form known as ANSI art. Avenging Angel has a talent for spotting ANSi related license plates. Here's one for Blocktronics 1010 "10 ANS". In other news, Avenging Angel has a talent and we have finally found it.

Ever wonder where Blocktronics artists get all of their inspiration from? Alcohol, massive amounts of alcohol.

The nerds in Pittsburgh were not the only ones meeting up in October. ANSi demi-God BYM (Big Yellow Man/Sweden) visited beautiful Brazil to meet and hang with our Blocktronics CEO z0 (Enzo/Brazil). Unfortunately, all they did was get drunk. We also learned thay BYM is really bad at taking selfies where Enzo excels. Also, note that they are still friendly in this photo.

Now they've both turned hostile on us. Apparently, they can't handle their alcohol without becoming savages. Also note, Enzo has no clothes on. "We don't wear clothes in Brazil." BYM has no shirt on either, that's what color they are in Sweden.

This is the darned cutest little bloody flaming drongo we've ever seen. Who would have thought that this innocent child would grow up to be the monster known as the Avenging Angel.
