(Except instead of milk chocolates, they got that day's singular º º ANSI screen.) Just to keep things interesting, we undertook to condense º º the entire creative spree into the scanty few weeks between the end of º º October and the beginning of December. º º º º Well, making it was fun, and the end result was well received, so we º º reproduced the challenge the following autumn, this time a1pha forking the º º executable to also allow the daily art display to be appreciated by callers º º to bulletin board services, the traditional natural element in which to be º º appreciating ANSI art screens. There was, again, a good deal of interest º º in our work from parties who for whatever reason aren't making it out to º º our galleries and social media posts, so when November came around this º º year we couldn't resist taking another crack at cooking up another ANSI art º º Advent calendar. º º º º Building on the strengths of last year's edition, the BBS door version of º º this most recent release also includes the complete inventory of every º º ANSI art screen included in our previous two ANSI Advent calendars, in the º º event that while you're in the mood to appreciate seasonal ANSI art you º º just might like to enjoy a little more of it than the single new screen our º º program unlocks on a daily basis. You can always of course flip back to º º bask in the screens unlocked on previous dates, but this year's completeÛÛÛ º º gallery of screens will only become fully available on Christmas morning.ÛÛ º º (Unless, of course, you are an 31i73 hax0r.)ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ º º ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ º º The calendar is a community undertaking but typically there is one artist Û º º who conspicuously feels a little more Christmassy (or at least, more ÛÛÛÛÛÛ º º productive) than the others and pulls ahead of the pack. Last year it wasÛ º º littlebitspace, answering the question "What's with all the skulls?", and Û º º this year our star player is The Green Herring, whose body of work dwellsÛÛ º º on specific themes that should be obvious to the observer! It is no Û º º overstatement to say that without TGH's many contributions to this year's º º ANSI Advent calendar, it would not have been possible to release on time. º º Given their incredible generosity and spirit of giving in regards to this Û º º project, I will be striving to refer to them for the remainder of this ÛÛ º º holiday season as The Red and GreenÛHerring.ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ º º ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ ÛÛ º º Thanks to all the participants in this year's ANSI Advent calendar, and to º º everyone justifying our efforts by checking in to appreciate what we're ÛÛÛ º º going to the trouble of sharing with you. Thanks also to everyone we've º º worked with over the past calendar year, everyone we've made art with and º º shared art with! There are many compelling competing distractions out º º there in 2025, and we look forward to continuing to connect with you all º º in cyberspace through vintage computer art traditions... the tech may be º º obsolescent but the sentiment is evergreen!Û */ º ÈÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍͼSAUCE00 Cthulu Mistigris 20251128FP7IBM VGA
