- This is a cool movie poster but that's where it stops. After man y years since the original series ended, 1979 Paramount released this little gem. Some fans may argue that the movie was decent. It was different and for hitting the big screen, it surely was a let down. Nonetheless, it is Star Trek and it did spawn many m ore movies after. I wish it was better than it was but for now, we have the movie poster.
