可能要让大家失望了,下面这幅人像色块其实并不是第一流的画作。但对我却意义
非凡:它在众多方面的探索经验,很有启示意义。
在台湾顶级画手中,wut、OrangeYu等人固然多有神来之笔,但missher、Gatchaman
两位对我们却更为重要:不仅因为他们水平很高,更源于他们为色块画确立了一些
规范、定式,可以让我们学习模仿。尤其是Gatchaman,他为人严谨,体现在作图
中,很多细节处理都有章可循。
这就像唐诗一样,李白虽然是天纵之才,但杜甫那样矜矜业业经营诗句,有着格律
、对仗等一系列章法的,才更易于学习上手。
Gatchaman的这幅作品即是如此:在处理光影、眼神、元素叠加等方面,提供了很好
的参照。让我们先看看原图:

难点在于:1、小范围内女主角神谷薰的脸部刻画(注意她的脸是斜向的,更增难度
)2、剑心的头发和眼神处理;3、两者的叠加组合;4、神谷薰的手与花的刻画

或许你第一眼一看:这幅作品有什么啊!薰(就是那个女的)的眼神没把握好,
字符也有些杂乱。但细品之下,这幅图在很多方面做了成功的尝试。
对于人像色块,有两个梦寐以求的境界:人脸的神韵和人物的完整性。但两者似
乎鱼与熊掌不可兼得。因为前者要求我们必须雕琢眼睛、眼神,于是乎眼睛就要
占去1-3行空间,势必脸部要画得足够大(根据我的经验,眼珠部分占用一行就
行了,加上睫毛、眉毛等,3行已经足够了);但后者要求我们,在脸庞之外还要
加上肩部甚至整个上身,再搭配上一些配饰物品。对于23行的作图空间来说,同
时完成两者实在很难。
(顺便补充一下,如果是画q版图,因为眼睛可以大得不成比例,躯干又可以适当
缩小,所以倒不成问题了。但毕竟q版的不多。。。)
而本图中,就集合了两种最典型的人像:几乎占据画框4/5的大头图和完整呈现脸
、肩、手的半身图,更加上了花朵等饰品。不但如此,还有光影的描绘。哎呀,
这种组合就是我近来梦寐以求的色块境界!
下面就说说个中的经验秘诀。
首先是眼睛。个人的经验,眼睛不必拘泥于原图,一般来说,三角色块+光点+适当
的黑色区域来刻画眼珠,加上上下的黑色睫毛,这种画法是屡试不爽的,如下图:

值得注意的是《kenshin》图中女主角眼睛的刻画。按原图的比例,她的眼睛最多只能
占一格,这是让众多高手切腹跳海的限制。虽然个人觉得这里的神韵抓得并不好,但
他的思路值得学习:三角色块刻画眼角,足够的黑色空间,再加上光点。
事实上,妙用三角色块和黑色区域,可以塑造出意想不到的效果。Gatchaman的作品
《Harry Potter》就是如此,请注意他双眼右上角的黑色三角色块

其次,就是头发的处理,一般来说头发的配色和纹路,是最难处理的了。关于这个,
请相信:我的梦中情人,必须要有一头乌黑亮丽的秀发,因为比较好画!本图中薰的
头发改为黑色,就成功区隔了薰和她身后的剑心。
如果色块图中,有人像叠合起来,就需要适当的区隔,不然很容易混做一团,分不出
神马是神马。而本图中,薰的整个身体都覆盖在黑色头发中,并刻意加粗了黑色边框
,蓝色上衣完全以粗黑框刻画。
顺提一句,missher在使用黑色上也颇有心得。请看下面两幅《女》和《京剧正旦》。
重点是前者头发的黑色阴影,和后者的黑色、红色色差对比,以及高亮的使用。
btw 我觉得《京剧正旦》是missher近来最出彩的一幅作品,亮点就在于黑色、红色
的大面积使用,还有亮白色块恰到好处的点缀。

再次,《Kenshin》图的又一经验,就是在小范围内刻画手、肩等身体部位。而
Gatchaman用黑色,成功区分开了躯干、头部和手臂,显得非常自然。对于难画
的手掌,他用色块塑形,以线条勾勒细节,同样收到了很好的效果。
请注意,处理那朵花的时候,他也是如法炮制的。
再则,其实Gatchaman对原图中薰的脸做了一点整容。这也是没办法的:空间有
限么。值得注意的是,经整容的脸型,更接近于上方下尖的样子,更利于暗丝
刻画,类似这种:

这样的整容处理,在他经典之作《千与千寻》中更为成功。《千与千寻》
也是他成功组合人像、物品的范例。而适当的变形是其关键。请按space欣赏
(btw 我一直很疑惑,那条白龙的躯干,为啥要用大片亮灰表现阴影,用暗青
色不是更好么)

最后就是这幅图的光影了。这里最大的亮点是薰的脸部光影处理,小范围内的
处理难度自不待说。但话说回来,原图中对剑心的光影刻画,在本图中没有全
部表现出来(更多的是刻画头发光影)。再加上对薰的眼神刻画不足,毕竟是
不小的遗憾。
我尝试加了一些光影,擅改前辈作品真是罪过。。。内部看一下看了,希望别
是画蛇添足。
